CQK MALA Hot Pot
Chinese Style
Chongqing's Finest Just Like Dining in China

Authentic Chinese-style Mala hot pot, originating from the city of Chongqing, China. It boasts a spicy and flavorful taste, with a rich and delicious broth. We use high-quality ingredients because we are both the producer and supplier, ensuring that we deliver the best to our customers.

The origin of the restaurant name CQK: The ancient street of Ciqikou, pronounced as 'Chui Chee Khwua' (磁器口), was first built during the Song Dynasty thousands of years ago. Originally named Longyin Town, during that time, the porcelain production here was exquisite and of high quality. The city's port became a gateway for transporting porcelain to various provinces. As a result, the town was renamed Ciqikou ('Ciqi' sounds similar to 'porcelain coating').

  • CQK Mala Hotpot Today I went to eat at CQK, The Crystal branch, at 4:00 PM. There was no queue and no staff slicing meat with a peak. We waited for the meat for about 30 minutes. The pumpkin soup is excellent, with a fragrant and rich taste, very comforting. The pork bone soup is equally fragrant, with a very clear broth. The beef should not be cooked too much in the Mala soup, it's great with beef. The boiled duck intestines are not too well-cooked, crispy, and odorless. The meatball is more like shrimp, with shrimp eggs, not my favorite. The noodles are quite sticky and chewy, a bit hard. The chewy noodles taste the same and are delicious. The sliced beef roll comes out quite tender but lacks the texture a bit, not passing through the meat grinder. The beef slides well, with a good insertion of fat, making it soft.

  • A hot pot and grill restaurant that has never gone out of style, offering an à la carte menu. The round and comforting Mala soup base keeps you coming back for more, with sweet and fragrant tomato soup and savory pork bone soup also on offer. The meats here are of the highest premium quality, including beef, pork, and lamb, but the must-try items are the duck intestines and beef tongue, which are excellent. Our large-sized shrimp balls are juicy and tender. Don't miss out if you're a fan of Mala hot pot!
